a SAM publication
In much the same way that the internet revolutionised how we live and work in the 1990s and 2000s, and that mobile and cloud technologies changed our ways of accessing and using information in the 2010s, AI represents a seismic disruption to how we work, collaborate, and create. Within this rapidly changing environment, associations have the dual opportunity of supporting their members’ AI innovations, as well as harnessing AI themselves to improve services and operations. Doing so will ultimately foster a more informed and technology proficient community but where do we begin? As leaders, it is incumbent on us to fully understand the intersection of technology and creativity so that we can manage the risks of AI (ethics, copyright, data privacy and security, intellectual property, inaccuracies, etc.) whilst fully leveraging the benefits. Following our AI roundtable in June 2024, we've published our guidance on Leveraging AI for Association Success, available to download for all SAM members.
